After receiving a bag of chocolate as a gift, I became very addicted to it. I usually didn’t eat it but thought “whatever, just this one time”. Really enjoying it, I began to buy chocolate, occasionally at first, and eventually more frequently. Pretty soon I was all-out addicted! I tried and tried to stop, but with no success. While one day going to the store, only for chocolate, I heard in my mind, “this is a good time to confess”. So I opened my mouth and took authority over the addictive spirits, cursing all desires and appetites for chocolate in the name of Jesus, and spoke many blessings over myself about loving healthy things. When I got to the store, I completely forgot to buy chocolate, and it wasn’t until I got home that I even realized it! It’s been years now that I’ve been free from chocolate addiction! Truly, there’s power in words! Death and life are in the power of the tongue! Prov. 18:21
