40 Day Smoothie Challenge

Smoothies are delicious, super simple to make and provide excellent nutrition to the body.  Because living foods are the healthiest for us and do wonders for our body, make sure you load up your smoothie with them.  A healthy smoothie can consist of the following items, but feel free to experiment with ingredients of your choice or preference.  Drink a glass and then store the rest in the fridge to drink later.  A Vita-Mix works best, but a good blender will suffice.

YOUR SMOOTHIE: flax seeds or chia seeds, greens, fruit, water, cucumber.  I love smoothies! They make me feel so good.  My favorite is spinach, kale, cucumber, lemon, grapes, strawberries.

Greens: kale, spinach, parsley, or broccoli have the most benefits

Fresh fruit of any kind: banana, orange, apple, papaya, kiwi, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peach, plum, pear, cucumber, lemons, grapes

Frozen fruit: blueberries or strawberries

Water: preferably filtered 

 

ADDITIONAL IDEAS:

Seeds: flax or chia

Spices: ginger or cinnamon

Green Barley Powder or Chlorella powder
