Family Prayer Using God’s Powerful Word

I release us into Your hands, Lord, and I cast every care and every need we have over to You. I thank You for supplying all of our needs according to Your glorious riches in Christ.  Thank You for giving me and my family Your Son and freely along with Him giving us all things, including whole-hearted devotion and a willing mind to serve You!  Thank you that Your Word is at work in us daily through my prayers and confessions of faith.  I will continue to hold fast to my confession of faith without wavering as You are faithful to Your promises and will perform Your Word.  1Pet. 5:7; Phil. 4:19; Rom. 8:31-32; 1Chron. 8:9; Heb. 10:23

I will not waver at Your promises to save, heal and deliver my family.  I am strengthened in faith, giving glory to You and are fully convinced that You are performing Your promises towards us.  You said it and You will do it.  You spoke so You will fulfill Your promises.  If I ask anything in Your name You promise to do it.  I believe in Jesus and I am saved, me and my household.  Just as Moses held up His hand (Your Word) and won the battle, I too hold up Your Word and win the battle for our souls. Jer. 17:14; Rom. 4:20-21; Num. 23:19; John 14:14; Acts 16:31; Ex. 17:11

Bring all hidden things in us into the light!  Lead us out of every kind of darkness and into Your marvelous light. Bring us to our senses.  Give us everything we need to escape the traps of the devil.  Make us strong in You and in Your power! Show us Your good, pleasing and perfect plan for our lives to prosper us, and not to harm us, to give us a future and a hope.  Mark 4:22; 1Pet. 2:9; 2Tim. 2:26; Eph. 6:10; Rom. 12:2; Jer. 29:11

I praise You, Lord for Your unfailing love and Your wonderful works to us.  Satisfy our thirsty souls, filling them with good things.  Give us clear understanding and wisdom of the devil’s plan to steal, kill, and destroy us, and quicken us by the Holy Spirit to the plan You have to give us life more abundantly. Ps. 107:8-9; John 10:10; Rom. 8:11

Lord, pour out Your kindness and goodness on us and lead us to repentance. Let us taste and see how good You are!  Let us experience daily how deep, wide, high, and long your love is for us.  Lead us to the fullness of joy in Your presence. Rom. 2:4; Ps. 34:8; Eph. 3:16-19; Ps. 16:11

Make Your grace abound to us daily for every good work of Salvation and sanctification.  Where sin abounds in us may your grace super abound!  Draw us with all Your resurrection power and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. 2Cor. 9:8; Rom. 5:20; Matt. 6:13

Send Your Word daily to us as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths, and guide us into all Truth.  Send Your Word with revelation, wisdom and understanding, sharper than any double-edged sword, to judge the attitudes of our hearts and heal and deliver us from all destruction. Ps. 119:105; John 16:13; Heb. 4:12; Ps. 107:20

Cause mercy and grace to follow us all the days of our lives.  Teach us how to dwell in Your house forever, and how to abide and remain in You, that You may bear much fruit in our lives.  Teach us how to pray without ceasing and give thanks in every circumstance.  Work to both will and to do for Your good pleasure in each of our lives.  Ps. 23:6; John 15:5; 1Thess. 5:16-18; Phil. 2:13

Teach us the way of meditating all day and night and prosper us on Your precious promises.  Hide Your Word in our hearts so that we will not sin against You.  Open our eyes to see and behold Jesus in all His grace and Truth.  Josh. 1:8; Ps. 119:11; John 1:14,17

Teach us how good it is to yield our hearts and minds to You, Your living and powerful Word, and to walk in the Spirit.  Teach us how to eat what is good and have our souls delight themselves in abundance through Your Word.  Josh. 24:34; Heb. 4:12; Gal. 5:16; Isa. 55:2-3

Make us true worshippers who worship You in Spirit and in Truth.  Lord, show us how to let the peace of Christ rule our hearts with thanksgiving and praise and let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly.  Make the joy of the Lord our strength. John 4:23-24; Col. 3:15-16; Neh. 8:10

Tell us great and mighty things we do not know about Your great love for us and all that is ours through Your indescribable gift of Christ.  Give us revelation, wisdom and understanding daily of the justification and righteousness that is ours as a gift through the blood of Jesus.  Get us grounded and rooted in Your love for us and grow us in grace!  Jer. 33:3; 2Cor. 9:15; Rom. 3:24; 2Pet. 3:18

Steer our tongues with the Words of life.  Put a guard over our mouths when we shouldn’t speak.  Give us a spirit of excellence. Help us to be quick to listen and slow to speak.  Teach us how to pray Your Word, believing and walking by faith, not by sight.  Give us faith to move mountains by confessing Jesus the Word rather than what we see and feel.  Phil. 2:16; Ps. 141:3; James 1:19; 2Cor. 5:7; Mark 11:20-23

When we are anxious about anything remind us You are near, and guide us to pray with thanksgiving.  Let us experience Your peace flowing powerfully to our hearts, guarding and protecting them.  Flood our minds with what is pure, lovely, admirable, noble, right, true, excellent and praiseworthy, and keep our minds stayed on You, always living in perfect peace.  Phil. 4:6-8; Isa. 26:3

Lord, throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles and ensnares us and teach us how to run with endurance the race that is marked out for us.  Cause us to walk in the Spirit, and not fulfill and gratify the lust of our flesh. Heb. 12:1; Gal 5:16

Jesus, give us life more abundantly through the gates of thanksgiving and the courts of praise.  Cause us not to be foolish, exchanging the Truth for a lie and allowing our thinking to become futile and our hearts to be darkened.  Give us hearts that abhor what is evil and cling to what is good.  Remove our stony hearts and give us hearts of flesh. John 10:10; Ps. 100:4; Rom. 1: 21-25, 12:9; Ez. 36:26

Free us from friendship with the world!  Open our eyes to see that friendship with the world is enmity with You.  Make us alert and sober minded that we have an enemy, the devil, prowling around, looking to devour us.  Teach us how to resist him, standing firm in the faith. 1John 2:15; 1Pet. 5:8-9

Lord, help us to humble ourselves before You, Your mighty hand, that You may lift us up.  Teach us how to cast all our anxiety on You, Lord.  Show us how much You care for us.  Show us how to draw near to You, God, that You would draw near to us. James 4:8-10; 1Pet. 5:7

Empower us to always flee sexual immorality!  Awaken us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in us, whom we have from God, and we are not our own.  Tell us that we were bought at a price and how good it is to glorify You, God, in our bodies and in our spirits, which are Yours also. 1Cor. 6:18-20;

Draw us up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set our feet upon a rock, making our steps secure.  Put a new song in our mouths, a song of praise to You, God.  Let us see and fear, and put our trust in You.  Show us how blessed we are by making You our trust, not by turning to be proud, going astray after a lie.  Ps. 40:2-4

Teach us to always confess the Truth and let us see how the Truth always sets us free and richly blesses us!  Cause us to speak words of blessings over each other: words of affection, appreciation, thanksgiving, vision, honor, and acceptance.  Fill our mouths  full of grace so that our speech will be seasoned with salt.  Guide us to honor, obey, love and believe the Word of God.  Thanks be to You, God who always leads my family in triumph in Christ!  John 8:31-32; Rom. 10:10-12; Rom. 12:14; Col. 4:6; 2Cor. 2:14
