I Believe Who I Am I am a child of God who is led by the Spirit of God. For I did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but I received the Spirit of adoption by whom I cry out, “Abba, Father.” I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live is by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I died and my life is hidden with Christ in God. My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. I am not my own, for I was bought with a price. I believe and declare my new identity in Christ. Rom. 8:14-15; Gal. 2:20; 1Cor. 6:19-20; Col. 3:3
In You, Jesus, and through Your abundance of grace and gift of righteousness I am able to reign in life, live in freedom, overcome my enemy, and be victorious in every battle! Since I now have Your Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self -control living in and through me, I reject all other spirits. The devil has lost his grip on me because I count myself dead to sin and alive in Christ. Sin has no dominion over me, for I am not under the law but under grace. I’m telling myself the Truth of who I am in Christ, which always sets me free. I’m defeating the devil’s work of sin consciousness through accusations and condemnation by giving them no thought, because I daily declare that all my sins are paid in full and I’m free indeed! I’m no longer a sinner but am the righteousness of God in Christ. I believe who God says I am and what God says I have. Rom 5:17, 6:11,14; Gal. 5:22-23; John 8:31-32, 36; 19:30; Ps. 103:2; 2Cor. 5:21; Rev. 12:7-12; Rom. 8:1
I Believe the Authority I Have in Christ I know I’m in a real war with real evil spirits but I have real victory through Jesus: His blood, His Word, and His Name! Jesus destroyed the works of the devil, triumphing over him by the cross. I have been given a position seated far above all rule and authority, power and dominion; now the devil is under my feet. I have victory to overcome the world by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony in Jesus’ work on the cross. 2Cor. 10:3-4; 1John 3:8; 5:4; Col 2:15; Rev. 12:11; Eph 1:20-22
Jesus said He has given me the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me and I believe Him. God has given me the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever I bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever I loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Just as a policeman uses his authority, not his ability, to stop a semi truck, I use my authority in Jesus’ name against the enemy. Because evil spirits are subject to me in His name I take the authority of Jesus I have been given and bind and cast them out. Jesus assures me that whatever I ask in His name, this He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If I ask Him anything in His name, He will do it.
My eyes will stay fixed on Jesus, the Word! I will worship the Lord my God, and Him only will I serve. I do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to me, but rather I rejoice because my name is written in heaven. Luke 10:17-19; Heb. 12:2; Matt. 4:10; 18:18; Eph. 1:21-23; John 14:12-14
I Have Freedom Through Faith in God’s Word Just like Jesus fought the devil both by speaking the Word of God and commanding the devil to leave, I do the same: fighting the good fight of faith, holding fast to my confession of faith without wavering, and commanding demons to leave in Jesus name. I know that God is not tempting me but the devil is trying to drag me away through evil desires. I will keep the thief from stealing, killing, and destroying me by abiding with Jesus in His word and living by faith not by sight. Matt. 4:2-11; 1Tim 6:12; Heb 10:23; James 1:13-14; John 10:10; 15:7; 2 Cor. 5:7
I have been given His divine power through His precious promises to escape corruption by believing and speaking out His Word. I am from God and have overcome all evil spirits, because the one who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world. I have been delivered from the power and domain of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son. The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom, so every time I speak the Word I receive freedom. 2Pet. 1:3-5; John 8:31-32, 10:10; 1 John 4:4; 2Cor. 3:17; Col. 1:13
I Use God’s Mighty Weapons I understand words are weapons. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against me in judgment, I shall condemn. I keep my soul from trouble by blessing those who persecute me. I bless and do not curse. I will not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. I am waging war not against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. I don’t wage war as humans do. I am mighty in God and pull down and destroy from my mind all strongholds, pretensions, and arguments of pride, rebellion, doubt, fear and jealousy in the name of Jesus, and I take my thoughts captive and bind them to the thoughts of Christ. I put on God’s armor, His Truth, which makes me strong in the Lord. I live on God’s living and powerful Word that is sharper than any double-edged sword. Isa. 54:17; Prov. 21:23; Rom. 12:14; 21; 2Cor. 10:3-5; Eph. 6:10-14; Heb. 4:12; Matt 4:4
I’m praising God that His Word will not allow my foot to slip. The Lord will keep me from all harm—He will watch over my life, my coming and going, both now and forevermore. I’m more than a conqueror, strong and courageous, as I keep His Word on my lips day and night. Above all I take my shield of faith, which is the Word of God, and pray it to extinguish all the fiery darts of the enemy, those of fear, anger, pride, rebellion, doubt, bitterness, etc. and I walk in freedom. It is for freedom that Christ has set me free. I will stand firm, then, and not let myself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Ps 121:3; Rom. 8:37; Josh. 1:8-9; Eph. 6:10,16-18; Gal. 5:1
My Tongue Brings Victory I simply submit to God, confess His Word, and the devil flees from me. My tongue is where the power of life or death is released. I continually call on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, confessing my faith and I will be saved from all my enemies. As I speak the Word of God I release God’s power into my life and situations, and allow God to steer my life, not evil spirits of fear, pride, doubt, etc. His Word keeps me from a world of evil that wants to corrupt me and set the whole course of my life on fire by hell. Everyday I enjoy life more abundantly, live at perfect peace, experience the fullness of joy, and am empowered with His love that surpasses all understanding through speaking His Word! James 4:7; Prov. 18:21; Ps. 18:3; James 3:3-6; John 10:10; Rom. 10:10; Isa. 26:3; Ps. 16:11; Eph. 3:16-20; John 15:10-11
I may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers me from them all. I love the Lord and always acknowledge His name, calling upon Him and He rescues, protects, and delivers me. As for me, I call on God and the Lord saves me. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said. God is my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. I call on Him through speaking His Word and He richly blesses me! Ps 34:19, 46:1, 50:15, 55:16, 91:14-15, Acts 2:21; Joel 2:32; Rom 10:12-14
