Healed Through Forgiveness

After years of emotional torture, I was truly amazed how God lifted the heavy burden of anger, hatred, resentment, and bitterness from off of my shoulders through deliverance prayer and the confession of Scriptures. In my opinion, I had every reason to feel all of the above emotions as I discovered that my husband had decided to accept a teaching job in South America. Apparently, in the process, he forgot about me, and the financial maintenance of our three daughters who were 16, 12, and 10 years old at the time. He failed to remember, or didn’t even care, that we had an outstanding mortgage in excess of six figures.

My daughters and I were devastated, humiliated, and horrified by his careless and unloving actions, as he just up and left us. I fell into a horrible pit of despair. Honestly, I hated him for what he did to our children and me. These questions surfaced continually in my mind: “How could someone abandon their own children? How will we survive financially?”

My only solace and comfort was in confessing the Word of God! Somehow, I always experienced a great sense of peace when I read out loud God’s Word. It was unbelievable! I spoke out loud many of the Scriptures pertaining to forgiveness, which are written under Freedom From Unforgiveness in the Whole Health Club website and experienced great freedom!

The Bible declares that we need to forgive others, but until I learned how to use confession and meditation of God’s Word I was unable to forgive. As I kept repeating the forgiveness confessions from God’s Word daily it was honestly astonishing how God’s Word wiped away all of my feelings of anger, hatred, resentment, and bitterness in regards to my ex-husband. These Words of God literally became part of me and made me a forgiver from years of heartache, pain, and bitterness. These words were keeping me from ever going back. Words really do have power and God’s Word is now my power to forgive!

Miraculously by God’s grace, now I’m praying for him and asking God to bless him.   Now I truly desire good things for him and I’m learning through the confessions of Freedom From Anxiety to give thanks always!   Through daily confession of God’s Word I’ve seen so many wonderful changes in me!

I have quoted a short daily prayer from Freedom From Unforgivenesss, which I believe is vital in sustaining us through the above types of trails as follows: “Lord, thank You for your loving kindness and amazing grace!  Make me an excellent forgiver.  Fill my heart with Your compassion and love.  In Jesus Name Amen!”

If the Son sets me free, I am free indeed, from all unforgiveness and bitterness!                         I forgive ________ quickly, I forgive __________ freely, and I forgive __________ as Christ has forgiven me.  I have Christ’s powerful, forgiving Spirit in me to forgive at all times.

I keep no record of wrongs.  I love _________ and do good to________. I pray for __________ to be blessed in every way.   I speak words of blessing about __________ and to __________.
