KNOW the POWER of the WORD! KNOW the POWER of JESUS!

I believe that when Jesus went into the wilderness for forty days, He spoke the Word, which was His shield of faith, and He was able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, withstanding the devil all that time. It is then that He said three times, “it is written”. With the Word He came against all three areas of battle: the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, and love of the world. The devil left Him, angels ministered to Him, and He went out in the power of the Holy Spirit. Luke 4:1-14; Eph. 6:16; 1John 2:16-17

Later, in the Beatitudes, Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”. We understand that apart from God, His Word, there is no power, no life, no love, nothing! But when I understand how poor I am and look to and speak His Word, I have power, life, love, everything! When I lean on God’s Word as my source of life, like Jesus, I am able to fight off the devil’s lies. Then the devil leaves me, angels’ minster to me, and I will go out in the power of the Holy Spirit!   Matt. 5:3; John 15:5; Prov. 3:5-6

Just as Jesus was tempted for 40 days, and the Israelites for 40 years in the wilderness, I will also be tempted in the wilderness. The Israelites stopped believing God, showing it by how they spoke negative, complaining words. Jesus demonstrated His belief by speaking God’s word. Josh. 5:6; 1Cor. 10:9-11; Matt. 4:4-10

Jesus fought the devil with the Word of God, so I should also fight the devil with the Word of God. If Jesus needed to live on the Word of God, how much more do I? Jesus used the Word to fight the devil, how much more should I? Matt. 4:4-10

I am blessed when I hunger and thirst for righteousness, (the Word), for then I will be filled. It’s a sure thing! Scripture trains me in righteousness, thoroughly equipping me for every good work. Matt. 5:6; 2Tim. 3:16-17

The righteousness that is by faith says, “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart”. The Word of God is righteousness. To be righteous is to live by faith, and to live by faith is to put the Word in my mouth and in my heart.  When I confess His Word, I am blessed, filled, and equipped for every good work.  Rom. 1:17; 10:6-8

I am wise and understand that the will of the Lord is for me to be filled with the Spirit by speaking psalms, singing to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things, and submitting myself to the fear of God (to the Word of God). Eph. 5:15,17,19-21

I need good words, encouraging words, life-giving words, healing words, building-up words, loving and affectionate words! My soul needs words that will make me feel secure, loved, peaceful, joyful, content, and hopeful in every way. This is why I confess my faith in Jesus, the Word, everyday! I can find all this and much more by confessing God’s amazing and powerful words!

The more I confess God’s Truth, the more I see and know how loved, secure, blessed, and free I really am! The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times. The Lord purifies me with His Word! Ps. 12:6

His word is indeed at work in me because I believe and speak it. God’s Word is the cure, and remedy, for every problem! I AM ACKNOWLEDGING HIM IN ALL MY WAYS! 1Thess. 2:13; Phil. 4:19; Prov. 3:5-6

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men… The Word became flesh (Jesus) and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus is the Word! I let the Word of Christ dwell in me richly! John 1:1-5,14; Col. 3:16

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining, upholding and maintaining all things (the entire physical and spiritual universe) by His powerful word.  He is my God and He is upholding me with His righteous right hand, His Words! Heb. 1:3; Isa. 41:10

I who have the Son, the Word, have life; he who does not have the Son, the Word, does not have life. I’m being transformed into His very image by speaking the truth in love to myself daily. This grows me up to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Through His Word I have every good and perfect gift from above! His Words bring love, peace, rest, and health to my body, soul, and spirit. If I don’t confess my faith, I am blown around by many wrong words and receive nothing. His Word sanctifies and washes me clean. 1John 5:12; Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:15; 5:26; James 1:6, 17-18; 2Tim. 1:7; Matt. 11:28-30; Col. 3:15; Prov. 4:20-22; John 17:17;

I will shine like stars in the sky as I hold firmly to the word of life. As I believe in Him and confess His Word of life and peace, rivers of living water will flow from within me.  It is the Spirit who gives me life; the words of God are spirit, and they are life. As I hold onto His Word through my confession of faith, I know the truth, and the truth will always set me free. His Word will never return void in my life! I get rid of all evil that is so prevalent simply by humbly accepting the word, which saves my soul. Phil. 2:14-16; Rom. 8:6; John 6:63; 7:38; 8:31-32; Isa. 55:11; James 1:21

Heaven and earth will pass away, but God’s words will never pass away, the word of our God endures forever. All Scripture is God-breathed! God is breathing on me! His Word is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of my soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of my heart. Luke 21:33; Heb. 4:12

The Word of the Lord is perfect: restoring, reviving and refreshing my soul. It is reliable and trustworthy, making me wise. It is right, bringing joy to my heart. It is pure, enlightening my eyes so that I may see wonderful things! Ps. 19:7-9; 119:18

His Word directs ALL my paths straight to what is right, pure, true, lovely, honorable, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. His word is a lamp for my feet and a light onto my path. Prov. 3:5-6; Phil. 4:8; Ps. 119:105

His word heals and delivers me from ALL destruction. I can stay on the path of purity by living according to His word, hiding (storing up, treasuring) His word in my heart; then I will not sin against Him. I receive the word of God and accept it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, Jesus who is indeed at work in me who believes! Mary was blessed for believing that the Lord would fulfill his word in her! I, too, am blessed; I taste and see how good God is, and lack no good thing by trusting in His Word. Ps. 107:20; 119:9-11; 1Thess. 2:13; Luke 1:45-46; Ps. 34:8-10

I get His Word rooted in my heart so that when trouble or persecution comes I am able to stand and see the Salvation of the Lord. I hold fast to my confession of faith in God’s Word without wavering, so that when the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desires for other things come and try to choke out the word, making it unfruitful, I’m able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. I hear the word, accept it, abide in it, hold on to it, cling to it, and continue in it by consistently confessing my faith, and produce thirty, sixty, even a hundred times what I’ve sown. Mark 4:14-20; Ex. 14:13; Heb. 10:23; Eph. 6:16

I give my attention and listen carefully to God’s Word, eat what is good, and let my soul delight itself in abundance: riches! Faith keeps on coming to me by the Word of God. Giving my ears to His Word and coming to Him and listening to Him causes my soul to live. Isa. 55:2-3; Rom. 10:17

I don’t let His Word out of my sight but keep it within my heart. By fixing my eyes on Jesus, the Word, I keep myself free from the sin that so easily entangles. I know the Word (Jesus) is life and health to my whole body. So above all else, I will guard my heart by keeping my mouth on every word that comes from the mouth of God, and far from perversity and corrupt talk. Prov. 4:20-23; Heb 12:1-2

I don’t turn to the right or the left of God’s Word, and keep my feet from evil. I know that where my heart is, there my treasure is also. I love treasuring up (storing up) God’s Word in my heart just like Mary did. I, too, will say like Mary, “My soul (mind, will, and emotions) glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!” Luke 1:46-47; 2:19; 12:34; Prov. 4:27;

I love God by keeping His Word continually in my heart, mind, and soul. His Word is not burdensome for me to keep, abide in, dwell with, live and move on every day, but rather a delight! I rejoice in the Lord always for giving me victory that overcomes the world, my faith in His Word! The words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart will always be acceptable and pleasing in His sight through my confession of faith. Matt. 22:37; 1John 5:3-4; Acts 17:28; Ps. 1:2; 1Thess. 5:16; Ps. 19:14

I let the Word of Christ dwell in me richly, and allow His peace to rule my heart and His Words to supply everything I need for life and godliness.  For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him, His Word. The Lord (Word) strengthens me when my heart is fully committed to Him (His Word). I will have wholehearted devotion and a willing mind, taking all my thoughts captive to obey Christ, by letting the Lord (the Word) be my way, my truth, and my life. Col. 3:15-16; 2Pet. 1:3-4; 2Chron. 16:9; 1Chron. 29:19; 2Cor. 10:5; John 14:6

I do not turn from the Words of God to the right or to the left, but rather I keep His Words always on my lips, meditating on them day and night, to help me do everything written in them. Then I will be prosperous and successful, strong and courageous, and His perfect love will cast out all fear! I will not be afraid nor be discouraged, for the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go. Josh 1:7-9; 1John 4:18

I do not despise small beginnings! I sow seeds (words) of God and don’t give up, and will reap a harvest of righteousness, peace, and God’s goodness! Zech. 4:10; Gal. 6:7-9
