Thank You, Lord for creating me in your image of love and designing marriage for me to love and be loved! Lord, remind me always of the Truth that there’s only one way to have sex and it’s in marriage between one man and one woman, and how You created sex to be pure to bring me great delight, fulfillment, and the deepest intimacy. I understand that all other sex is demonic and from Satan to destroy me. Empower me to flee from sexual immorality with Your Word in my mouth and in my heart. Remind me how beautiful and satisfying sex is in marriage and that marriage represents Jesus and His bride. Bless me to enjoy intimacy with my spouse frequently, and that we would always be satisfied by each other. OR Thank You for making me patient to wait for marriage. Thank You for giving me the understanding of sexual sin being the way of death to my soul, marriage (or future marriage) and family. Help me to always take the way of escape from sexual sin by simply calling on the name of Jesus, calling on Him in prayer and in truth. Remind me whenever I call on the name of the Lord, Jesus, the name above all names, I will be saved. I will call upon You, Lord, in the day of trouble and You will always deliver me, and I will glorify You. I acknowledge You in all my ways so that You can make me well, right, good, pure. I understand that sexual sin is the most hurtful and hateful thing I can do to myself, others, and Christ and His body. Also that it is the will of Satan, and that lust is adultery and brings evil into my soul. Give me a heart that abhors all evil, especially sexual sins and clings to what is good- sex in marriage only. Keep me always remembering how critical it is to honor the marriage bed and keep it pure and that my body belongs to You, God, and my spouse only. Remind me that You created sex for two people to bring blessings and that masturbation is selfish and perverted, and makes me no longer appreciate, want, or need a spouse, nor appreciate or want You. I pray Your kindness, goodness, mercy and grace will continually lead me to repentance (Your thoughts and ways) with godly sorrow. Lord, thank You for raising me up from this horrible pit of sensual gratification and setting my feet on the strong foundation of Jesus and filling my mouth with praise. Teach me to sing of Your Salvation and trust in You everyday, to keep me from going astray after lies and falling into sexual sin. Holy Spirit, be my Guide, Teacher, Helper, Strength, and Counselor to purity and freedom in Christ. It is God’s will that I be sanctified and avoid sexual immorality; that I learn to control my own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God. And that in this matter I should not wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins. For God did not call me to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore if I reject this instruction I do not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives me his Holy Spirit. God wants me to love. I’m storing up Your word in my heart so that I don’t sin. I am continuing in the faith telling myself daily that I am holy, and blameless, and above reproach in Your sight. I will always surrender to You and pray with thanks and guard my heart and mind in Christ. I know above all I must guard my heart and speak the truth, knowing from it flows all things in my life. I’m being sanctified by the truth and washing myself with the water of the Word, cleansing my conscious and being made white as snow. Since my eyes are the lamp of my body and make my whole body full of darkness through sexual sins, I renew my mind and am transformed and receive new desires. I walk in purity and please and honor God with my eyes. Father, in Jesus name, I renounce all sexual impurity and pornography and destroy all desires for them. Give me eyes for you and my spouse only! Give me a heart and mind full of Your pure and holy Word. I give you my heart so that my eyes observe Your ways. In Jesus name I curse and command to die at the roots and break off all ungodly and impure sexual appetites, mindsets, visions, images, memories, desires, and attitudes from me. Thank You, Lord for removing my stony heart, giving me a heart of flesh, and freeing me from friendship with the world and filling me with Your love. Thank You for opening my eyes to see that friendship with the world is enmity with You. Thank You for teaching me not to love the world or anything in the world but to abide in Your amazing love and walk in the Spirit’s power so I don’t fulfill and gratify the lust of my flesh. Help me open up, confess, and share everything with Spirit-filled believers who can pray over me, bring me healing, and keep me from falling into sin. Bind me together in a strong three-cord strand with other believers who can keep me accountable and living in the Holy Spirit’s power, love and sound mind (self-control). James 5:16; Eccl. 4:12; 2Tim. 1:7
Create in me a clean, pure heart and renew a faithful spirit within me. Teach me the way of Your true love and purity that I may enjoy an abundant marriage through Jesus. Lead me to a marriage that is pure and that glorifies You, God. Speak all day to me that when there’s oneness in marriage the Lord commands the blessing. Ps. 51:10; John 10:10; 14:6; Ps. 133
Teach me Your way of humility so that I may receive more and more grace. Fill my heart with Your love and gratefulness for my spouse and for You, God. Do everything that is necessary to bring me to fully surrender myself to You and Your way of purity. You said these things, Lord, so You will do them. Because one will reap what one sows, give me a vision and spiritual awareness of the consequences of all of my actions. Help me to know that You will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Gal. 6:7; Ecc. 12:14
For Men:
As a husband, help me be considerate as I live with my wife, and treat her with respect as the weaker partner and as an heir with me of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder our prayers. Make me like-minded, sympathetic, loving, compassionate and humble. Help me not to repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but on the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this I was called so that I may inherit a blessing. Help me be on my guard and not be unfaithful to the wife of my youth. You say, “The man who hates and divorces his wife does violence to the one he should protect,” and that You hate divorce, so never let it be an option to me or even mentioned by me. 1Pet. 3:7-9; Mal. 2:15-16
