Declaring Your Freedom
I confess that Jesus, not anything of myself, set me free. Knowing the Truth, Jesus, I no longer work, try harder or exert more effort for freedom. He who the Son sets free IS free indeed. I am free! For I know that my old self was crucified with Christ so that the body of sin might be done away with, that I should no longer be a slave to sin…because I’VE DIED! I count myself dead to the sin of _________ and alive to God in Christ Jesus. I am dead to that sin now because I am what God says I am and He says I’m free. I am a child of God who is “in Christ”, and because I died with Christ, I am free at last! Praise God I am free at last!!! The door to freedom is NOT LOCKED…it was opened wide when Christ died on the cross and I died with Him. Not only have I been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who lives, but now Christ lives and has His being in me; and the life I now live in my flesh I live by faith in Jesus, who loved me and gave Himself for me! I am My Beloved’s and My Beloved is mine! You, Lord Jesus are my strength, my humility, my peace, my love, my favor, my wisdom, my comfort, my all and all! Just as I think it would be absurd to ask to be put in a room I’m already in, I’m already free, loved, secure, blessed, forgiven, complete in Christ!!! I am all these and so much more NOW “in Christ“! I do not attain these things. They are the birthright and inheritance for me, and every child of God! Thank You, Jesus for this gift of eternal life, abundant life, and a life with the fullness of joy in Your presence! I will bless Your name at all times! I will give thanks in ALL circumstances! Whatever I do whether in word or deed I will do as giving thanks to You and to bring glory to Your name my wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Let Your Word dwell in me richly and lead me in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Let your Word be a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet.
